If you wish to alter the floor level or set areas that are not allowed to be used, you'll need to manually reset the map.
The IQ app provides advanced mapping and automated functions, however it lacks no-go zones. These are only available on iRobot robots. Its smart-pathing navigational system results in greater maneuverability and its high-pile carpet cleaning mode cleans well, although it does have a tendency to get caught up in rug tassels. Additionally, its iHome speaker lets you control the robot with voice commands.
During our tests, we found that the IQ handled pet hair with ease. It was able to get rid of lots of debris on bare floors, and a fair amount of rug with a medium pile. It was a little less effective on shag carpets which was a struggle to reach dirt and dust embedded in the fibers. It was able navigate the legs of chairs, small spaces and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. It was a little slower on flooring that was not fully covered but it was able to recover speed and performed better than other robots we have test.
The IQ is a better option than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most applications. It has a bigger dust bin and lasts longer on charge and does a better job of maneuvering itself over obstacles. It comes with a mopping tool that can remove sticky debris. The iRobot, however, is better constructed and has fewer parts that need maintenance or replacement and has lower cost per year, and can create virtual no go zones with its companion application. It is able to continue cleaning from where it left off even if its battery runs out before it has finished. The iRobot is also controlled by voice commands, which is a big plus for many users.
Eufy 11S
The RoboVac 11S eufy robot vacuum isn't one of the most feature-rich models, but it does offer excellent cleaning power for an affordable price. Another excellent feature of the eufy11S is its BoostIQ mode that allows you to set the robot to automatically adjust its suction power to match the type of floor and the amount of the mess. The remote control makes it simple to direct the 11S to the desired location.
